When creating an application there are a few things to consider:
Data - Do you have existing data which needs to be stored in a database? e.g. Excel files. I can design and host a database using Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL to store your data. This can be hosted on the cloud or a dedicated server.
Data editing - some apps are straightforward data input apps in which case I can build the pages for creating, updating, reading and deleting data.
Other apps will have more specialised features. This could be integration with 3rd party services or generation of reports.
Recently AI-enabled apps have become popular - I can integrate ChatGPT for text-based AI or image generators such as Stable Diffusion for image generation.
Most apps require a data layer - I can use EF Core (Entity Framework Core) to manage your data with code.
Authentication and authorisation is required. A web app usually requires a login page and the ability to reset passwords via email. I can integrate transactional email. I can build a login system or use a 3rd party login provider to allow users to log in to your app. I can enable login via Facebook or Google.
Deployment - Your app needs to be stable and have high availability. I can publish it to one of the large cloud providers like Azure or AWS. Or I can set up a dedicated server with its own IIS web server for hosting your site.
Third-party controls can be used to add UI elements to your app. Grid controls, dropdown boxes, graphs and charts and list boxes are some of the controls that can be added.
JavaScript is the language which allows communication between the front end and the back end of your application. I can write JavaScript to fetch and post data to the backend C# code.
